Clip Hartwell 001
Tugaloo River

Toby captures video of a very nice tree about 18 feet down next to a boat ramp and a ditch deep in the back of a cove. Approach this feature slowly and work your bait around the outside edges first. Then gradually right onto the target. Depending on the time of year, it may also be a good idea to try a soft plastic top water or shallow running bait first then gradually move down the water column." There is very little current here and the water will usually be still and quiet, so it may be a good spawning area.

Tugaloo River

Toby finds a lot of brush, trees, rocks and other trash along a shoreline. There is a couple of nearby boat ramps to help you position yourself to these features. A variety of baits and tactics should do well in this area.

Toby shows us a little hump (the best kind) deep in the back of a creek and across from a ski boat dock. This hump has pebble rock and appears to be part of an ancient roadbed.

Here's a man-made brushpile anchored with a cinderblock and it get's Toby so excited he can't hold the camera still! There's a nice gravel bar and another roadbed as well. Toby makes up for the shakes by giving us a good compass heading with the bow pointed right at the feature along with the waypoint of course.

Here's a nice ditch with brush sitting in the middle of it. Good spot to bounce a jig down the bank and up the other side. This is very unique contouring that will hold fish and likely be a migration route.

Tugaloo River

This clip shows several nice features. Toby starts by showing an impressive laydown on the left which is visable at full pool but also has a couple of good logs next to it which are would be submerged 20 feet. Perhaps the best feature in this clip is the man-made structure across the cove which is isolated and has the laydowns pointing at it to help you find it. There is a hump to the right of it. In the back of the cove is a ditch with nearby stumps. Buy this clip. You'll be pleased with what you get.

Clip Hartwell 008
Tugaloo River

Toby finds a creek channel with a brushpile deep in this cove. There is a nearby ditch and a very isolated dock with brush next to it. Note that the dock has not been rolled out with the low water so the brush should be in the same position at full pool. The absense of other structure in this cove will concentrate fish close to these features.
